Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay
Chardonnay clones 95 and 548 were carefully selected from the north slope of Argyles’ Spirit Hill Vineyard that sits 750 ft above the Willamette Valley floor in Eola-Amity Hills AVA. We can always count on high acidity from this site and we match it with barrel fermentation and partial malolactic fermentation. With the use of 20% new French oak and 80% neutral French oak, the acid is smoothed out for a vibrant and crisp version of Oregon Chardonnay.
Tasting notes: Bright acidity is matched with minerality and stone fruits. Notes of underripe mango, lemon zest, and fresh cream mingle with a silky mid-pallet and leave a lingering finish.
